2006 /2007 season FC Atlanta registers with ADASL (Atlanta District Amateur Soccer League). The ADASL is known as the most organized and competitive amateur league in Georgia. As a new team in the ADASL, FC Atlanta has had to start from the bottom (3rd division) and work their way up. With twenty other teams in their division, FC Atlanta still managed to finish the season in the top three.
2007/2008 season FC Atlanta qualifies and got promoted to the second division of ADASL. The second division has only 10 teams, but has much better players and well-organized teams. The quality playing of FC Atlanta put the team within the top standings, where they stayed for the entire season. The season is not over yet but it looks like FC Atlanta will move next season to the first division in the ADASL league.
2007/2008 Perrin Cup Championships.
The Cup is played throughout the length of the season and is a single-elimination format. Teams are drawn in a double-blind lottery with First Division teams given the benefit of positional seeds so that no two can face each other in the first round. A preliminary round may be necessary to bring the field down to 32 teams.
FC Atlanta registered in the Perrin Cup and makes their way to the semifinals. They were eliminated from the semifinal by the defending Perrin Cup Champions Atlanta Silverbacks Reserves, 2 - 1 winners over FC Atlanta. We are looking forward to playing with Atlanta S’backs Reserves again in the 2008/2009 season. |
